This is a genuine Samsung branded item with defect. The ice bin and auger in this piece are perfect, but the plastic hook that holds the metal rod which controls the opening door for ice dispensing is broken. I circled this piece in 4th & 5th photos. This broken piece leaves no place to hook the spring from the metal rod to the bin. Normal there is a full hook for holding the rod and a small hole on that hook to connect the spring. The “u” part of this book is broken. The remainder of bin, auger and rod look new. There are no defects on the auger teeth. The original box is not included and will be shipped in a generic box. I’m hoping someone can use this for parts or knows of a work around. Seems a shame to toss an otherwise nice bin over a little piece of plastic! **Please be sure to check the (very long!) list below of refrigerators models for which this ice bin is compatible.
